Roundup: Tech rallies to upset Bishop Gorman

Estevan Zavala and and Alan Lopez each scored second-half goals as Tech’s boys soccer team rallied to stun host Bishop Gorman and win 2-1 on Wednesday.

Cruz Velazquez assisted on both of Tech’s goals.

Alexander Daseler scored for Bishop Gorman, which was previously undefated.

Spring Valley 4, Silverado 1 — At Silverado, Bum Cho and Cesar Estrada each had a goal and an assist as the Grizzlies topped the Skyhawks.

Alfonso Tadeo and Jose Urrutia-Lopez each added a goal for Spring Valley.

Conner Barlow scored for Silverado.

Durango at Liberty – The match was stopped in the 58th minute due to a head injury to Liberty’s Max Patton.

Liberty led 3-2 at the time of the stoppage. A determination on the outcome of the game or whether it will be restarted is under review by the Clark County School District athletic office.

Hayden Prasad scored all three of Liberty’s goals, with his third goal on a penalty kick five minutes into the second half giving the Patriots a 3-1 lead.

Tyson Tesfamariam and Jose Alcocer each scored once for Durango.

Desert Oasis 2, Clark 2 — At Clark, Juan Beltran-Diaz scored two goals as the Chargers and Diamondbacks played to a tie.

Abraham Dolley had two assists for the Chargers.

Ethan Kovach had a goal and an assist to lead the Diamondbacks, and Beria Zackey also scored for the Diamondbacks.

Green Valley 6, Basic 3 — At Basic, Angel Arambula scored two goals and had two assists to lead the Gators past the Wolves.

Elyjah DeLeon scored one goal and had two assists, Kai Zurflueh one goal and one assist, and Daniel McCracken and Dominick Mesa each scored goals for the Gators.

Ian Meyers added an assist for the Gators, who scored six second-half goals.

Pablo Sanchez scored twice, and teammate Christopher Vesper scored once for Basic.

Coronado 5, Sierra Vista 0 — At Coronado, Paul Graham scored two goals and had an assist as the Cougars blanked the Mountain Lions.

Alfredo Diaz scored a goal and had three assists, Brock Rideout had a goal and an assist, and Lincoln Aquino scored a goal.

Josue Ruiz had two saves in goal to record the shutout for the Cougars.

Mojave 12, Somerset-Losee 0 — At Somerset-Losee, Cesar Gonzalez scored three goals to help the Rattlers rout the Lions.

Felix Perez added two goals and two assists, and Johnathan Gonzalez also had two goals for Mojave. Oscar Gonzalez and Adam Trejo-Montes each had a goal and two assists, and Jesus Ubario-Ochoa and Bryan Torres each had a goal and an assist for the Rattlers, who also got an own goal.

Damian Moreno recorded the shutout for Mojave.

Western 19, The Meadows 0 — At Western, Juan Estrada, Gustavo Sanchez and Elizandro Zaragoza each had three goals as the Warriors routed the Mustangs.

Jessey Morales-Trejo, Adrian Vazquez and Jose Arias all scored twice for the Warriors, and Lorenzo Mejia, Bryan Gonzalez, Mauricio Muniz and Andy Rodriguez each scored once.

Bryan Jimenez had five assists for Western.
