Roundup: Silverado falls in semifinals of SoCal Invitational

Silverado’s girls volleyball reached the semifinals of the D2 Ultra bracket of the SoCal Invitational in San Diego on Saturday, but fell to Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy (California), 22-25, 12-25.
The Skyhawks defeated Whittier (California) in the seeding game, 25-22, 25-21, then topped Louisville (California) in the first round of bracket play, 25-18, 25-23. Overall, the Skyhawks went 5-1 across two days.
In the same tournament, Coronado fell to Laguna Beach (California), 22-25, 19-25 in the seeding game to move into the Gold bracket.
Coronado outlasted Eastlake (California), 25-16, 27-29, 15-12, before falling to Santiago (California), 26-24, 25-16 in the semifinals. Coronado tied for 11th in the Division I portion of the tournament.
Tonopah 3, Word of Life 0 — At Tonopah, the Muckers swept the Eagles, 25-6, 25-9, 25-12.
