Pahranagat Valley storms into Tonopah, wins 70-12

Preston Higbee accounted for seven touchdowns Friday, throwing five and rushing for two, as Pahranagat Valley’s football team bullied its way to a 70-12 road win against Tonopah.

Higbee was 10 of 12 passing for 127 yards, throwing two touchdowns apiece to Richard Lewis and Stockton Maxwell, and one to Culen Highbe.

The Panthers (5-0, 2-0 Class 1A Southern League) stormed out to an early lead as they scored three times in the first quarter and led 48-6 at halftime.

Pahranagat Valley made four interceptions on the night, with two coming from Brodey Maxwell. Stockton Maxwell and John Hansen had the others.

Kevin Pope caught both of the touchdowns for the Muckers (2-3, 0-2) on passes from Dillan Otteson.
