GIRLS SOCCER: Lizuly Mireles nets six goals in Desert Pines’ win

Lizuly Mireles scored six goals to power Desert Pines’ girls soccer team to an 8-0 victory over Mojave on Thursday.

Rosa Delgadillo had a goal and an assist, and teammate Carmen Hernandez also scored for Desert Pines, which got three assists from Jacqueline Chamale.

Sara Arreguin earned the shutout with six saves for the Jaguars.

Cheyenne 2, Sunrise Mountain 1 — At Sunrise Mountain, Yadira Erives and Emely Torres scored to lift the Desert Shields over the Miners.

Mya Heard and Rayne Martin each had an assist for Cheyenne.

Las Vegas 6, Canyon Springs 1 — At Canyon Springs, the Wildcats scored five second-half goals to pull away from the Pioneers.

Deisy Lopez had a goal and an assist, and Maria Hernandez added three assists to lead Las Vegas.

Atziri Avila, Alba Trujillo-Hinojosa, Tabitha Maldonado, Brinkley McCoy and Leslie Garcia Pedraza each added a goal for the Wildcats.

Arbor View 3, Shadow Ridge 0 — At Arbor View, Allyssa Larkin scored twice to lead the Aggies over the Mustangs.

Sierra Vicenta added a goal on a penalty kick for Arbor View, which led 1-0 at the half.

Haylee Niemann made two saves to get the shutout.

Palo Verde 9, Legacy 1 — At Legacy, Macee Barlow had two goals and two assists, and teammates Jadyn Nogues and Gia Barone each added two goals and an assist to power the Panther past the Longhorns.

Alexandra Floratos, Sloan Nelson, and Madison Hernandez also scored for Palo Verde. Alexis Lloyd had two assists, and McKenna Vaughn supplied an assist for the Panthers.

Gabriella Lancaster scored Legacy’s lone goal.

Centennial 4, Cimarron-Memorial 0 — At Cimarron, the Bulldogs blanked the Spartans.
