GIRLS SOCCER: Megan Donnelly’s penalty kick sends Faith Lutheran by Centennial

Megan Donnelly scored on a penalty kick in the final 30 seconds to lift Faith Lutheran’s girls soccer team to a 1-0 road win over Centennial on Monday.

Beka Lescenski recorded the shutout in goal for the Crusaders, who sit in fifth place in the Northwest League with five matches remaining.

Centennial remained in third place in the Northwest.

Rancho 3, Valley 2 — At Valley, Saipress Jones scored three goals, including the go-ahead goal with three minutes remaining, to lift the Rams over the Vikings.

Faith White had two assists, and Marlene Godoy added one assist for Rancho, which trailed 2-1 at halftime.

Jennifer Godinez and Stephanie Alvarado each scored for Valley.

Las Vegas 2, Eldorado 1 — At Eldorado, Brinkley McCoy and Leslie Garcia-Pedraza each scored a first-half goal, and the Wildcats held on to nip the Sundevils.

Brianna Duran scored off a free kick in the second half for Eldorado.

Liberty 1, Basic 0 — At Basic, Gia Maisano scored on an assist from Angelina Maisano in the first half, and the Patriots edged the Wolves.

Lydia Rankin recorded the shutout for Liberty.

Tech 0, Green Valley 0 — At Green Valley, the Roadrunners and Gators played to a scoreless draw.

Tech goalkeeper Chloe Dody made eight saves to get the shutout. Emberly Sevilla and Alexa Eastep combined on Green Valley’s shutout.

Desert Oasis 2, Silverado 0 — At Desert Oasis, Ashley Wood and Madison Montellano each had a second-half goal to power the Diamondbacks past the Skyhawks.

Samantha Gato and Kelsey LeBoeuf combined on the shutout.

Palo Verde 4, Cimarron-Memorial 0 — At Palo Verde, Macee Barlow had a goal and two assists to lead the Panthers past the Spartans.

Madison Hernandez, Gia Barone and Jadyn Nogues each added a goal for Palo Verde.

Goalkeeper Kailee Barnhard had two saves to earn the shutout.

Clark 5, Virgin Valley 3 — At Clark, Dona Acierto and Jackie Gonzalez each scored two goals as the Chargers held off the Bulldogs.

Areli Valenzuela added a goal for Clark, which got assists from Samantha Malley, Kelsea Claveria, Kanoe Mores and Viviana Lujan.

Abbie Barnum scored all three of Virgin Valley’s goals, and teammate Kallie Graves had two assists.

Shadow Ridge 5, Legacy 1 — At Shadow Ridge, Kaitlyn Banks had two goals and two assists to lead the Mustangs over the Longhorns.

Jazmine Adame also scored twice, and Alexis Ponce added a goal for Shadow Ridge.

Emma Singleton scored for Legacy.

Pahrump Valley 4, Sunrise Mountain 0 — At Sunrise Mountain, Vaniah Vitto had three goals and an assist as the Trojans topped the Miners.

Kaitlyn Carrington added a goal, and Sydney Dennis had two assists for Pahrump, which scored all four goals in the second half.

Noemi Valle-Diaz made five saves to get the shutout.

Cheyenne 8, Desert Pines 0 — At Desert Pines, Yadira Erives had four goals, and Isel Acosta added two goals as the Desert Shields routed the Jaguars.

Maria Borrero had a goal and an assist, and Emely Torres also scored for Cheyenne, which got two assists from Mya Heard.

Shayna Thompson recorded the shutout with five saves for Cheyenne.

Western 11, Mojave 0 — At Mojave, Katherine Realegeno had four goals and an assist, and Ellyson Reynada had three goals and two assists as the Warriors routed the Rattlers.

Caro Acosta added two goals and an assist, and Devany Marroquin had a goal and four assists for Western. Kirsten Molina had a goal and an assist for the Warriors, and Alejandra Alvarez-Torres recorded the shutout.
