BOYS SOCCER: Sunrise Mountain holds off late Western push, wins 3-2

Musio Jimenez-Vazquez recorded three assists Wednesday as the Sunrise Mountain boys soccer team held off a late rally from Western for a 3-2 home win.

Jonso Jimenez-Vasquez, Jose Arreola and Angel Arreola each scored a goal for the Miners.

Juan Arredondo-Alvarez and Angel Lopez-Castillo scored the Warriors’ goals.

Palo Verde 4, Arbor View 2 — At Arbor View, Henry Robledo-Matadamas had two goals and an assist, and Timothy Stephens scored twice as the Panthers rallied to beat the Aggies.

Anthony Kaskie had two assists for Palo Verde, which trailed 2-1 at halftime.

Daniel Corona and Nicklaus Dongmann had Arbor View’s goals.

Centennial 2, Legacy 0 — At Centennial, Damien Brooks and Manny Lopez scored in the second half to lead the Bulldogs over the Longhorns.

Centennial’s Jacob Mays made three saves in the shutout.

Las Vegas 4, Rancho 4 — At Las Vegas, Mario Diaz scored all four of the Wildcats’ goals in a draw with the Rams.

Ricardo Galvan, Jose Campos, Jesus Perez and Angel Cipres each had a goal for Rancho.

Valley 3, Canyon Springs 1 — At Canyon Springs, Adam Felipe Dumo and Sergio Arrguen each had a goal and an assist to carry the Vikings over the Pioneers.

Jose Valles also scored for Valley.

Chris Mata scored Canyon Springs’ goal.

Mojave 5, Cheyenne 1 — At Cheyenne, Anibal Ponce finished with two goals and an assist, and Adrian Perez added a goal and an assist to lead the Rattlers past the Desert Shields.

Olsen Bonilla and Gabriel Sanchez-Gonzalez also scored for Mojave, which led 3-0 at halftime. Jonathan Gonzalez had two assists for the Rattlers.

Otoniel Hernandez scored Cheyenne’s goal.

Cimarron-Memorial 5, Faith Lutheran 3 — At Faith Lutheran, Jimi Villasenor had a goal and an assist as the Spartans defeated the Crusaders.

Arturo Bahena added a goal and an assist for Cimarron, which also got goals from Erick Cuevas and Dresdan Quackenbush.

Faith Lutheran’s Matt Carson scored twice, and teammate Hayden Hillegass had a goal. Brock Hagee added two assists for the Crusaders.

Desert Pines 0, Pahrump Valley 0 — At Pahrump Valley, the Jaguars and Trojans played to a scoreless draw.
