GIRLS SOCCER: Ballou’s penalty kick helps Falcons tie Coronado

Katherine Ballou converted a penalty kick with five minutes remaining in the match Wednesday to help Foothill's girls soccer team earn a 2-2 tie with visiting Coronado.

Myriah Epino also scored for the Falcons.

Taylor Kornieck scored twice for the Cougars.

Boulder City 2, Sunrise Mountain 2 — At Sunrise Mountain, Jordyn Trobiani scored midway through the second half as the Eagles overcame a 2-0 halftime deficit to tie the Miners.

Paige Buettner also scored for Boulder City.

Brisa Pena-Martinez and Miriam Galvez scored for Sunrise Mountain.

Eldorado 2, Basic 2 — At Eldorado, Brianna Duran scored her second goal of the match midway through the second half as the Sundevils earned a tie with the Wolves.

Sydnie Hopkins scored a goal in each half for Basic.

Tech 1, Moapa Valley 1 — At Overton, Leslie Santos scored the tying goal midway through the second half to help the Roadrunners earn a draw with the Pirates.

Alexia Schraft scored in the first half for Moapa Valley.

Shadow Ridge 4, Legacy 2 — At Shadow Ridge, Cheyenne Banks scored three goals to lead the Mustangs by the Longhorns.

Samantha Villa also scored for Shadow Ridge.

Isabella Skrinjaric scored twice for Legacy.

Virgin Valley 3, Chaparral 0 — At Chaparral, Abbie Barnum scored twice to help the Bulldogs down the Cowboys.

Shantel Galindo also scored, and Marlene Quirarte had two assists for Virgin Valley.

Spencer Green made three saves en route to the shutout.

Green Valley 7, Rancho 0 — At Green Valley, Alexis Kirson had three goals and an assist, and Shestan Lynam added three goals as the Gators routed the Rams.

Taylor Paulsen also scored for Green Valley.

Ryan Sabol and Kiyana Lopez combined on the shutout.

Desert Pines 8, Del Sol 0 — At Desert Pines, Yadira Zavala-Hernandez, Lizuly Mireles and Maria Guzman each scored two goals as the Jaguars routed the Dragons.

Jazmin Sandoval and Vanessa Benitez also scored for Desert Pines.

Mireles and Maribel Mejia combined on the shutout.

Bishop Gorman 9, Durango 0 — At Durango, Hannah Borgel had three goals and two assists, and Arlie Jones added two goals and four assists to power the Gaels by the Trailblazers.

Isabel Rolley scored twice, and Margaret Essa and Gianna Gourley also scored for Gorman.

Kirsten Kircher recorded the shutout.
