VOLLEYBALL: Nihipali logs 22 kills as Shadow Ridge beats Arbor View

Whittnee Nihipali had 22 kills and 19 digs Wednesday to help Shadow Ridge's girls volleyball team to a 21-25, 25-23, 25-18, 25-14 win at Arbor View.

Eadara Files had six kills, 38 assists and 10 digs, and teammate Rachel Chambers added seven kills and six blocks for the Mustangs.

Hannah Goddard had 20 kills and two aces, and Sarah Goddard had 12 kills for the Aggies. Sofia Valenzuela had eight kills and two blocks, and Alyson Jeeves dished out 47 assists for Arbor View.

Bishop Gorman 3, Legacy 0 — At Legacy, Sydney Lobato had 21 assists and seven digs, and Vashti Cunningham added 15 kills and three blocks to lead the Gaels to a 25-21, 25-16, 27-25 victory over the Longhorns.

Abbey Archambault had 13 kills and two blocks, and Alysia Nielson added eight digs and three assists for Gorman.

Legacy's Kamaile Mendonsa had 22 assists, and teammate Mia Suzuki provided 20 digs and three aces. Saipeti Fuiava added 10 digs and six kills, and Danielle Castillo had five kills for the Longhorns.

Foothill 3, Rancho 0 — At Rancho, Alyssa McCoy had 11 kills and two blocks to help the Falcons to a 25-16, 25-20, 25-22 sweep of the Rams.

Aysia Mabry added seven kills, two aces and 11 digs, and teammate Kiley McCall had two kills, 32 assists and three blocks for Foothill. Dana Bower added 12 digs for the Falcons.

Kayla Coles paced Rancho with 10 kills and 12 digs. Serenity Sivongsa had 10 assists and 19 digs, and Olivia Lychock added 10 digs for the Rams.

Moapa Valley 3, Chaparral 0 — At Chaparral, Halle Bennett had seven aces and four kills, and JaLea Blasingame and Shelbi Walker provided six kills apiece to help the Pirates sweep the Cowboys, 25-12, 25-15, 25-13.

Lindsey Erikson added six aces for Moapa Valley.

Chaparral's Jessica Joiner had three kills and three aces, and Alexandria Williams supplied three kills for the Cowboys.

Coronado 3, Basic 0 — At Basic, Cali Thompson had 40 assists, five aces and four kills to lead the Cougars to a 25-8, 25-7, 25-9 victory over the Wolves.

Nikki Jackson added 11 kills and five aces for Coronado, and teammate Navi Lee had eight kills and seven digs. Carolyn Andruils added six kills, five aces and five digs for the Cougars.

Tech 3, Desert Pines 0 — At Desert Pines, Samantha Backman had eight assists and seven aces to lead the Roadrunners to a 25-6, 25-9, 25-11 sweep of the Jaguars.

Elizabeth Ortega supplied eight assists and four aces, and teammate Jasmine Ramos added 10 digs for Tech. Katherine Hernandez added six kills and six aces for the Roadrunners.

Green Valley 3, Eldorado 0 — At Green Valley, Carlee Becker had 24 assists to lead the Gators to a 25-7, 25-12, 25-11 victory over the Sundevils.

Rachel Klopfer supplied 17 kills and five aces, and teammate Maya Hill added seven aces for Green Valley.

Hailey Stark had five kills, and Charlene Gassette added four digs for Eldorado.

Palo Verde 3, Durango 0 — At Palo Verde, Emma Gutierrez had 25 assists, and Kayla Kinney added 12 kills as the Panthers swept the Trailblazers, 25-14, 25-19, 25-18.

Aaliah Largusa added seven kills for Palo Verde.

Durango's Lindsey Horne had 10 assists and seven digs, and Casey Howard added nine digs and four kills for the Trailblazers.

Boulder City 3, Sunrise Mountain 0 — At Sunrise Mountain, the Eagles defeated the Miners, 25-5, 25-21, 25-17.

Rebecca Ramirez had nine digs to lead Sunrise Mountain, which got six kills from Ayla Diaz.

Virgin Valley 3, Del Sol 0 — At Mesquite, the Bulldogs swept the Dragons, 25-10, 25-9, 25-22.
