BOYS SOCCER: Nunez’s goal helps Gators clinch Southeast crown

Ricardo Nunez scored a first-half goal Monday to help Green Valley's boys soccer team clinch the Southeast League title with a 1-0 win at Coronado.

Salvatore Hicks made nine saves to earn the shutout for the Gators.

Bishop Gorman 2, Palo Verde 1 — At Gorman, Brandon Malek's goal with 10 minutes to play lifted the Gaels by the Panthers.

Slade Weber had a goal and an assist for Gorman.

Jayden Hoogland scored for Palo Verde.

Foothill 2, Eldorado 2 — At Eldorado, Rony Estrada's goal with 19 minutes left in the match allowed the Falcons to tie the Sundevils.

Becca Nyonyintono also scored for Foothill.

Marlon Vidales had a goal and an assisted on Eddie Mercado's goal for Eldorado.

Durango 1, Shadow Ridge 1 — At Durango, Anthony Sotelo's goal midway through the second half allowed the Trailblazers to tie the host Mustangs.

Jacob Fisher scored a first-half goal for Shadow Ridge.

Tech 4, Chaparral 2 — At Heritage Park, Jaime Diaz scored two goals to help the Roadrunners hold off the Cowboys.

Hector Casillas and Adrian Becerra also scored, and teammate Joel Velazquez had two assists for Tech.

Jose Morales and Saul Gonzalez scored for Chaparral.

Sunrise Mountain 4, Desert Pines 1 — At Sunrise Mountain, Ismael Arambula scored two goals to lead the Miners past the Jaguars.

Jose Arreola had a goal and an assist for the Miners, who also got a goal from Hector Garibay.

Jose Francisco scored for Desert Pines.

Del Sol 8, Boulder City 1 — At Del Sol, Diego Nieves had three goals and an assist as the Dragons routed the Eagles.

Ruben Ortiz had two goals and an assist, and Diego Flores scored twice for Del Sol. Zach Harter had a goal and an assist, and Erik Serrano added three assists for the Dragons.

Alex Krausman scored for Boulder City.

Virgin Valley 7, Moapa Valley 0 — At Mesquite, Moises Medina scored four goals to lead the Bulldogs by the Pirates.

Roman Perez added a goal and an assist, and Orlando Diaz and Sebastian Rodriguez scored for Virgin Valley. David Cabrera had two assists for the Bulldogs.

Hayden Johnson made four saves to earn the shutout.

Rancho 16, Basic 1 — At Basic, Jorge Alejo scored five goals to lead the Rams to a rout of the Wolves.

Kevin Rodriguez-Clavel scored four goals, and Anthony Candizo and Jorge Apercio each scored two goals for Rancho. Jaime Carbajal and Ricardo Galvan also scored for the Rams.

Topias Pennanen scored for Basic.

Adelson School 8, Faith Lutheran JV 3 — At Adelson, Nevo Ziv had three goals and two assists to lead the Lions past the Crusaders' junior varsity.

Noah Weller added two goals and an assist, and Dylan Soresman, Noam Gavish and Maxime Chaltiel also scored for Adelson.

Garrett Greene had two goals, and Elijah Bethard scored once for Faith Lutheran.
