FLAG FOOTBALL: Shelton’s five TDs lead Longhorns by Grizzlies

Avi’Ana Shelton rushed for 269 yards and five touchdowns Tuesday to help Legacy’s flag football team to a 58-18 win at Spring Valley.

Akia Williams rushed for 100 yards and two touchdowns, and Aujaneh Jackson added a TD run for the Longhorns.

Amberlynn Twigg had a 3-yard TD run and tossed a 40-yard scoring pass to Michaela Hood, and Jozee DeCunzo ran five yards for a score for the Grizzlies.

Las Vegas 7, Del Sol 6 — At Las Vegas, Paulina Franco threw for 148 yards, including a TD pass to Alexis Benpard, as the Wildcats nipped the Dragons.

Valley 12, Canyon Springs 0 — At Canyon Springs, the Vikings scored twice in the first half en route to a win over the Pioneers.

Arielle Strong rushed for 49 yards on nine carries for Canyon Springs.

Shadow Ridge 46, Moapa Valley 0 — At Shadow Ridge, Victoria Tolle threw for 141 yards and four touchdowns to lead the Mustangs in a rout of the Pirates.

Tolle completed 9 of 12 passes.

Maelle Vilon ran for 104 yards and a touchdown for Shadow Ridge.
