FLAG FOOTBALL: Drummond rushes for 326 yards, leads Mountain Lions over Desert Shields

Anye Drummond rushed for 326 yards and three touchdowns Friday to help Sierra Vista’s flag football team to a 31-18 home win over Cheyenne.

Neomi Vazquez threw for 148 yards and two touchdowns for the Mountain Lions. Dreah Gaspar and Vladana Lazic each caught a TD pass for Sierra Vista.

Girly Tambeagbor had three TD receptions for the Desert Shields.

Rancho 20, Canyon Springs 0 — At Rancho, Siree Contreras rushed for 70 yards and two touchdowns as the Rams blanked the Pioneers.

Megan Sloan ran for 66 yards and a score for Rancho.

Spring Valley 27, Moapa Valley 6 — At Spring Valley, Amberlynn Twigg tossed two touchdown passes and ran for another score as the Grizzlies downed the Pirates.

Jozee DeCunzo also had a touchdown run for Spring Valley.

Moapa Valley’s Shayla Pratt threw a touchdown pass to Heilish Gordon.

Palo Verde 41, Durango 0 — At Palo Verde, Daniesha Clayton had two rushing touchdowns as the Panthers blanked the Trailblazers.

Caitlyn Oxford tossed two TD passes for Palo Verde.

Liberty 21, Tech 0 — At Green Valley, Kelsi Theobald caught two touchdown passes and ran for another score as the Patriots downed the Roadrunners.

Silverado 20, Desert Pines 6 — At Silverado, the Skyhawks topped the Jaguars.

Mariyah Espinoza had 105 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries for Desert Pines.

Arbor View 26, Shadow Ridge 7 — At Shadow Ridge, the Aggies intercepted six passes on their way to a win over the Mustangs.

Joryan Brewer rushed for Shadow Ridge’s touchdown.
