SOFTBALL: Feiner’s sac fly lifts Mustangs past Aggies

Tana Feiner’s sacrifice fly plated Jojo Brewer with the go-ahead run in the top of the fifth inning Wednesday to lift Shadow Ridge’s softball team to a 2-1 win at Arbor View.
Sarah Pinkston tossed an eight-hitter for the Mustangs, and teammate Marisa Miano went 2-for-4 with a double.
Arbor View’s Adrianne Drewniak went 2-for-4 with a triple, and Ashlyn Ames was 2-for-2 for the Aggies.
Las Vegas 3, Rancho 0 — At Las Vegas, Kristina Nelson cracked a home run and pitched a two-hitter with 10 strikeouts to lift the Wildcats over the Rams.
Samantha Remer went 2-for-2 with an RBI for Las Vegas.
Green Valley 5, Canyon Springs 2 — At Canyon Springs, Maggie Manwarren went 3-for-3 with a solo home run to propel the Gators to a road win over the Pioneers.
Ciera Berkemeyer was 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI, and Emilee Kaye went 2-for-3 with an RBI for Canyon Springs.
The Gators led 3-2 and scored twice in the top of the sixth to put the game away.
Faith Lutheran 10, Cheyenne 6 — At Faith Lutheran, Kelly Zufall went 3-for-4 with an RBI as the Crusaders outslugged the Desert Shields.
Mandi Young provided two hits and two runs, and Lauryn Lipe had a two-run single for Faith Lutheran.
Taylor Cole had two hits, including a homer, for Cheyenne.
Silverado 11, Valley 6 — At Silverado, Hanna McCall was 4-for-4 with four runs and three RBIs to help the Skyhawks top the Vikings.
Ashlee Phillips went 2-for-3 with a double, a run and two RBIs, and Ari Monturio went 2-for-3 with a run and an RBI for Silverado.
Kristina Manthei was 1-for-1 with a run and an RBI for Valley.
Mojave 17, Clark 7 — At Mojave, Ashley Persico went 4-for-4 with two triples and four RBIs, and Danette Daguiar was 4-for-5 with two doubles and three RBIs to power the Rattlers to a six-inning win over the Chargers.
Terren Vinson supplied two hits for Mojave.
Clark’s Raven Tomlinson was 2-for-3 with a double, and teammate Shelby Frank went 2-for-4 with a triple.
Pahrump Valley 11, Western 1 — At Pahrump, Whitney Roderick tossed a one-hitter as the Trojans topped the Warriors in six innings.
Roderick struck out 15 and didn’t allow a walk for Pahrump, which took advantage of 11 walks.
Spring Valley 13, Sierra Vista 3 — At Sierra Vista, Ellie Endsley went 3-for-4 with a triple, and winning pitcher Ashley Coate had a double and three RBIs to help the Grizzlies to the five-inning win.
Georgi DeLio hit a two-run home run for Spring Valley.
Adrianna Somerville had a two-run homer in the bottom of the first for Sierra Vista.
Palo Verde 14, Durango 0 — At Durango, Breanna Beatty doubled twice and homered to lead the Panthers to a five-inning rout of the Trailblazers.
Rachel Williams went 3-for-4 with two RBIs, and Melissa Lacro added two hits and three runs for Palo Verde, which scored 11 runs in the first inning.
Laughlin 19-6, Lake Mead 18-3 — At Lake Mead, Cassie Beggs went 3-for-5 with two RBIs in the opener and 2-for-5 with an RBI in the nightcap to help the Cougars sweep the Eagles.
Diana Durazo and Irina Becerra each had four RBIs for Laughlin in the opener.
Taylor Webb went 3-for-5 with a triple and four RBIs in the first game, and Megan Watkins was 2-for-4 with an RBI in the second game for Lake Mead.
Pahranagat Valley 11, Mountain View 1 — At Alamo, Bailee Hosier went 3-for-3 with three runs and an RBI to lead the Panthers by the Saints in five innings.
Kennedy Huntsman tossed a three-hitter with five strikeouts for Pahranagat Valley.
