ROUNDUP: Durango edges Green Valley in baseball

Danny Reynolds pitched a three-hitter and stranded the potential tying run at third base in the top of the seventh inning Friday as Durango’s baseball team held off visiting Green Valley, 4-3.

Reynolds carried a no-hitter into the seventh inning but allowed three runs on three hits — including a two-run single by Nick Libonati.

The Gators moved the potential tying run to third base, but Reynolds’ 11th strikeout ended the game. Reynolds issued one walk.

Josh Hull went 1-for-2 with a double and two RBIs for the Trailblazers. Teammate Zach Hollenback was 1-for-3 with a double and two RBIs.

Cimarron-Memorial 6, Basic 5 — At Basic, outfielder Kris Kaplan scored the go-ahead run with on a balk in the top of the seventh and then gunned down a runner at the plate to end the game for the Spartans.

Nate Hall went 2-for-4 with a double and three RBIs, and Taylor Doyle went 1-for-2 with a double and held Basic scoreless over the final two innings to get the win.

Basic’s Andy Chaves homered, and Jacob Barr went 2-for-3 with two RBIs for the Wolves.

Legacy 22, Eldorado 3 — At Eldorado, Andres Ortiz wen 2-for-2 with a home run, a double, three runs and three RBIs as Legacy routed the Sundevils.

Donald Glover was 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles, four RBIs and three runs for Legacy, which had seven doubles among its 10 hits.

Spring Valley 6, Liberty 5 — At Spring Valley, Garrett Blair had two doubles to help the Grizzlies beat the Patriots.

Blair also came on in relief to earn the win for Spring Valley, which took over with three runs in the sixth inning.

Jandy Eiroa went 2-for-4 with a triple and three RBIs to lead Liberty.

Bonanza 8, Valley 4 — At Valley, Heriberto Orozco was 4-for-4 with two doubles and three RBIs to lead the Bengals over the Vikings.

Winning pitcher Kyle Ross allowed four hits and struck out 13 in a complete game. Ted Merich was 3-for-3 with a double and two RBIs for Bonanza.

Arbor View 10, Silverado 3 — At Silverado, Marquis Towers was 3-for-5 with a home run and two RBIs to help the Aggies beat the Skyhawks.

Winning pitcher Josh Arnold had five strikeouts and hit a double. Silverado’s Braden Keathley was 2-for-3 with a home run.

Palo Verde 13, Coronado 3 — At Palo Verde, Zac Benson went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs to lead the Panthers past the Cougars.

Alex Bonczyk and Dylan Meyer each went 2-for-4 for Palo Verde, which led 8-0 after two innings.

Centennial 10, Pahrump Valley 0 — At Centennial, Anthony Antos and Cody Clark combined on a one-hitter as the Bulldogs earned a five-inning win.

Loral Monson was 2-for-3 with a home run for Centennial. Sam Friend went 3-for-3 with a double, two RBIs and two runs, and Matt

Triana went 2-for-3 with a double, two runs and one RBI for the Bulldogs.

Canyon View (Utah) 3, Foothill 1 — At Foothill, the Falcons were unable to string together hits in their loss to visiting Canyon View.

Daniel Van Stone had a triple and Eduardo Yanez a double for Foothill.

Parowan (Utah) 12, Boulder City 2 — At Boulder City, the Eagles fell behind 8-0 after two innings and committed six errors.

Virginia City 8, Mountain View 8 — At Mountain View, the Saints and Muckers played to a tie in a game stopped by time restrictions at the Mountain View Spring Slam.

Trevor Van Kempen had two hits and three RBIs for Mountain View.

Carlin 15, Henderson International 2 — At Mountain View, Bubba Matthews had a home run and three RBIs, and Kyle Meacham went 3-for-4 with a homer and two RBIs to lead the Railroaders.

Battle Mountain 13, Lake Mead 8 — At Mountain View, Jake Harkness was 3-for-3 with a double and three RBIs to lead the Longhorns over he Eagles.

Virginia City 7, Henderson International 6 — At Mountain View, Brandon Trible’s two-run triple in the top of the seventh inning lifted the Muckers.

Keenan Gladd-Brown had a double and a triple for the Wolverines.

Carlin 9, Mountain View 1 — At Mountain View, J.D. Thuringer had two hits and three RBIs to lead the Railroders past the Saints.
