Coach: Tony Kryiacou

Top athletes: Eduardo Cordova (Sr.), Jose Escamilla (Sr.), Chris Rising (Jr.), Scott Cline (Jr.)

Outlook: Coach Tony Kyriacou’s teams have come close over the past eight years, but never made it to state.

This year, he has put his job on the line, announcing he will retire if he doesn’t succeed.

"I believe this team of young men is capable of being the first team from SECTA to go to state and save my job in the process."

He has a good shot at it.

Escamilla, who went to state in 2007 as an individual, and Cordova, who was the No. 3 prep runner at the 2008 Legends Run, will lead the way.
