Arrested Florida man tries to chew off fingertips in police car

A Florida man attempted to chew off his fingerprints after he was arrested on Thursday.

A video posted by Lee County Sheriff's Office shows a man who was later identified as Kenzo Roberts, 20, gnawing on his fingertips and chewing the skin in an attempt to hide his identity.

Despite his efforts, Roberts was identified by his fingerprints, the Orlando Sentinel reported, after he was arrested for driving a stolen 2015 Mercedes. A firearm and fraudulent identification were also found on Roberts, police said.

Roberts was linked to two felony warrants related to an aggravated assault charge. He was charged with driving with a suspended license, possession of a stolen credit card, grand theft auto and possession of a concealed firearm.

The Orlando Sentinel reported Roberts was in the country illegally.
