More sun, triple-digit temps expected for first fall weekend

The only thing making Las Vegas feel like fall has begun is Halloween decor at every store in town.

Triple digit temperatures, accompanied by a zero-percent chance of rain or cloud cover, doesn't exactly scream autumn. The valley will hit 101 degrees Thursday, according to the National Weather Service.

"We're looking dry and warm all the way through the weekend," NWS meteorologist John Adair said.

Saturday and Sunday also could top out at 101 degrees.

Next week, we may get "some" relief, Adair said. Temperatures will only be in the mid-to-high 90s.
