West Virginia super middleweight Jordan Moore was suspended for one year Monday by the Nevada Athletic Commission after he failed to show up for a disciplinary hearing in Las Vegas following a positive test for anabolic steroids.
Moore (3-1) lost in the first round by technical knockout to Lanell Bellows on Sept. 14 at the MGM Grand Garden. Following the fight, Moore tested positive for Nandrolone, a banned substance for competition in Nevada. He was temporarily suspended pending Wednesday’s hearing. The commission voted unanimously to suspended him for a year and impose a 30 percent fine on his $3,000 purse. Since Moore lost the fight, there was no change to the decision.
