UNLV’s Bernal makes All-WAC soccer first team
UNLV junior forward Salvador Bernal was named to the All-Western Athletic Conference soccer first team on Tuesday.
Bernal, who played at Clark High School, also earned first-team honors in 2011 and 2012, when the Rebels played in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation. He is tied for third in the WAC this season with five assists and has scored four goals.
Sophomore midfielder Rodrigo Fuentes, who led UNLV in scoring with 17 points, sophomore defender Kyle Mellies and junior goalkeeper Ryan Harding were named to the second team.
