Winter ball marks Studio 54 anniversary

If you're looking for a little bit of a winter wonderland tonight, you should look no further than Studio 54.

The popular spot presents its 10th anniversary celebration -- a holiday-themed winter ball called "54 Below" -- to highlight the weekend's nightlife festivities.

Studio 54 will transform into an arctic play land of music, fashion and excitement. The entertainment will be highlighted by a performance by the dancers from MGM Grand's "Crazy Horse Paris" show. In Studio 54's VIP area, fashion models will showcase "barely there" Frederick's of Hollywood lingerie.

The first 200 VIP guests also will receive a "54 Below" gift bag, featuring items by Frederick's of Hollywood and more.

Jet hosting wild event -- The second annual "Boobs or Bust" party hits Jet inside The Mirage on Monday.

Several women feeling the need to have their breasts enhanced will compete against each other for the $5,000 grand prize, which can go toward their new look.

Actor Mario Lopez will host the chesty extravaganza.

Law coming down on LAX -- Academy Award nominee Jude Law makes a rare Las Vegas nightclub appearance Saturday when he hosts the evening's festivities at LAX inside the Luxor.

Mandalay Bay spot gets into Monday 'Mix' -- High atop The Hotel at Mandalay Bay, Mix restaurant and lounge continues its weekly party on Mondays for industry workers.

Located on the 64th floor, Mix welcomes those with that rare night off from working on the club scene with an alternative place to party. Look for drink and bottle service specials to appear as Mix continues to jump into Monday's swing of things.

UNLV hosts anniversary at Tryst -- This past Sunday, UNLV hosted its 50th anniversary bash at Tryst inside Wynn Las Vegas.

The party was created by the students in the UNLV Hotel College's Nightclub Management class.

Sightings of the week -- The stars came out in full force Nov. 30 at Company American Bistro's restaurant and lounge grand opening party at the Luxor. Nick Lachey, Nicky Hilton and Wilmer Valderrama highlighted the cast of celebrities walking the red carpet. All three are investors in the new restaurant/lounge.

Also at Company's opening were: Criss Angel, actress Ashley Leggat, "Beacher's Madhouse" owner Jeff Beacher, poker star David Williams and Rene Angelil. The entire group headed to LAX (Luxor) following the restaurant's party.

Actress Juliette Lewis and her rock band, The Licks, celebrated Nov. 30 at Jet inside The Mirage following their concert. Also at Jet: Rapper Too Short and The Killers' drummer Ronnie Vannucci.

Jenny McCarthy did some club-hopping of her own Saturday, checking out Moon (Palms) with her father and friends. Earlier in the evening, McCarthy was spotted at LAX inside the Luxor.
