2016 Sorento SUV now available at Henderson Kia in the Valley Automall

The 2016 Sorento has been hailed for being multifaceted. It’s perfect for the typical night on the town or the trip to the beach. It began mounting sales at the dealership about as quickly as it arrived and is touted as the perfect getaway vehicle.

Available packages include the L, LX, SX and SX Limited.

An impressive list of engines are highlighted with the 2.4-liter gasoline direct injection 4-cylinder with 185 horsepower; the 2.0-liter gasoline direct injection 4-cylinder turbo with 240 horsepower; and the 3.3 gasoline direct injection V-6 with 290 horsepower.

“My buyers have included elderly people, families and people who are selecting the Sorento because the model is beating a lot of competitors,” said Wellman. “On average, I would say that we’re saving our buyers $10,000-$15,000 on upper-end models. Our top of the line Sorento isn’t even $50,000.

“The 2016 Sorento top line SXL models include backup cameras, navigation, XM radio, Pandora, the 2.4-liter turbo and the 3.3-liter six cylinder. It also has heated steering wheel, blind spot monitoring, push button start, lift gate, panoramic roof, Home Link, powered seats, third-row seats and LED lighting.

“In addition, the upper-end model includes heated and cooled seats, Bluetooth and Infinity Sound System. Even the entry-level models come complete with a long list of amenities.”

Wellman said the Kia Sorento has also won several safety awards including the Top Star Safety Pick from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety for 2015. The NHTSA Five-Star Safety rating was also awarded the Sorento for the third consecutive year in 2015.

Sorento safety systems include electric stability control, traction control, electronic brake-force distribution, brake assist system and hill-start assist control.

The Kia Sorento also comes with the industry-renowned 10-year, 100,000-mile power train warranty, the five-year, 60,000-mile limited basic warranty, the five-year 100,000-mile limited anti-perforation warranty and the five-year, 60,000-mile 24-hour roadside assistance.
