The Focus RS is sporty and powerful, with a single-turbocharged high-output 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine generating a best-in-class 350 horsepower engine with 350 pound-feet of torque. The peppy vehicle hits zero-to-60 mph in five seconds. Other amenities include all-wheel drive with dynamic torque vectoring and selectable driving modes, including a drift model that allows controlled oversteer drifts and launch control.

Safety features include lane-keeping system, active park assist, blind spot information system with cross-traffic alert, a rearview camera and a reverse sensing system that provides audible assistance.

Automotive enthusiast Tony Scodwell, a 50-year resident of Las Vegas, said the ’16 Focus RS appeals to a wide range of age brackets.

“I have owned everything in high-performance cars including Ferraris, Maseratis, Alfa Romeos and BMWs. This car will be perfect for younger drivers wanting high performance. Older guys like me who appreciate the racing-oriented engineering will love this car.”

“If you own one of these Focus RS models, you had also better own a radar detector,” Scodwell said with a laugh. “This is the real deal. As far as I’m concerned, Ford has made some of the best cars in the automobile industry and I really feel that the company has a good direction.”
