Tim Parrott to be inducted into Gaming Hall of Fame
Former Shuffle Master Chief Executive Officer Tim Parrott, who died in May, will be posthumously inducted into the Gaming Hall of Fame in November during Global Gaming Expo in Las Vegas.
Parrott, who had a more than two-decade career in the gaming industry, spent a year as Shuffle Master’s CEO.
He served as chairman and CEO of Boomtown from 1988 to 1998. After Boomtown’s 1998 merger with Pinnacle Entertainment, Parrott served on Pinnacle’s board of directors. Parrott was also an industry consultant, CEO of a Las Vegas-based production company and spent two years as CEO of Aristocrat Technologies.
“Tim was a savvy businessman, devoted to the entertainment industry, and he was a driving force behind the development and evolution of gaming throughout his career,” American Gaming Association President Frank Fahrenkopf, Jr., said in a statement. “He brought his vibrant and creative energy to so many sectors of our business over the years and was one of the most well-liked and respected executives in the business.”
Parrott will be inducted into the Gaming Hall of Fame on Nov. 17, during the State of the Industry keynote event at G2E. He will be honored during the G2E Chairman’s Reception at the Mandarin Oriental.
