Las Vegas’ Downtown Grand to hire 800
Fifth Street Gaming is looking to hire more than 800 people for the Downtown Grand hotel, the company’s chief executive said Monday. The company expects the hiring process to take four months.
All applications and resumes should be submitted online at www.fifthstreetgaming.com/careers.
The 650-room downtown Las Vegas resort formerly known as the Lady Luck is set to open later this year. Seth Schorr, CEO of Fifth Street Gaming told gaming regulators on Thursday the resort expects to receive its certificate of occupancy in September.
Schorr said the company is excited to start hiring.
“We anticipate a strong response given both the current unemployment rate and the fact that Downtown Grand will provide a great employment opportunity,” Schorr said in a statement.
Fifth Street Gaming, developer and operator of the Downtown Grand, is overseeing the $100 million renovation of the former Lady Luck resort for its owner, CIM Group.
