UPDATING: Hotel-casino deals for Las Vegas locals

With air travel severely limited during the COVID-19 pandemic, Las Vegas’ hospitality industry is focusing on customers who can drive in — especially locals.

Here are some of the deals for locals offered by hotel-casinos across the valley.

Caesars Entertainment Corp.

— Free parking is offered at its open properties.

Circus Circus

— Southern Nevadans can get 20 percent off at The Adventuredome from 10 a.m. to noon daily in July. Proof of identification is required.

— Las Vegans can also pay to enter the Strip property’s pool and Splash Zone. Entry is $15 per person for an all-day wristband and $10 per person for all-day wristbands purchased after 4 p.m. The pool is open 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., and the offer is valid Mondays through Thursdays.

The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas

— The Strip property is offering free self-parking.

— José Andrés’ China Poblano, a Chinese and Mexican food restaurant, is offering locals a complimentary salt air or classic margarita with the purchase of the $35 chef’s tasting menu. The deal is valid Sundays through Tuesdays from June 21 through Dec. 30, and valid Nevada identification is required.

— Jaleo is offering locals a complimentary glass of Sangría de Vino Tinto or Estrella Damm Lager with the purchase of a tapa through Dec. 30. Proof of Nevada ID and the digital ad is required.

Linq Hotel

— The Caesars Entertainment Corp. property is offering high school and college 2020 graduates a discounted ride on the High Roller, the world’s tallest observation wheel, and select specials at The Linq Promenade. The deal includes two regular tickets for $20 with proof of a valid student ID. Shops, bars and restaurants at the Promenade are also offering the graduating class deals, including 30 percent off handmade soaps, bath treats, lotions and more at Nectar Bath Treats; 25 percent off any ice lounge package before 6 p.m. at Icebar; a free dessert with the purchase of an entree at Tilted Kilt Pub & Eatery; 20 percent off any fountain item at Ghirardelli Ice Cream and Chocolate Shop; 15 percent off the entire check at Jaburritos and Chayo Mexican Kitchen + Tequila Bar; 20 percent off the entire check at Favorite Bistro; 20 percent off the entire check for dine-in, or buy one slice, get one free to-go at Flour & Barley – Brick Oven Pizza; a free fry order and chocolate chip cookie with the purchase of a hot dog at Haute Doggery; 10 percent off the Candy Martini Bar check and 20 percent off all other purchases at I Love Sugar; 10 percent off the entire check at Virgil’s Real Barbecue.

MGM Resorts International

— The casino operator is offering free parking at its properties.

— Locals can receive 20 percent room rates at all of MGM’s Las Vegas properties by booking at mgmresorts.com/locals.

Plaza

— The downtown property is offering “Hard Hat Specials” for local construction workers through Aug. 31. Presenting a construction work badge to an attendant at the rewards players club gets customers a free Bud, Bud Light or Pacifico at the Omaha Bar and $10 free slot play. Several food outlets in the property also offer specials to those who show construction work badges.

— Oscar’s Steakhouse will knock off 20 percent from locals’ checks — not including gratuity — through July 31. The promotion is limited to parties of six or fewer, and local identification is required.

— The Plaza and Terrible Herbst are offering free gas and staycation perks through their “Fuel your Summertime Fun” deal. The first 500 people to book a two-night stay at the hotel casino online with the code GAS20 will receive a $50 gas gift card from Terrible Herbst, two free drinks, $50 in match play, a complimentary room upgrade and early check in and late check out. There is a one gas card limit per person, and reservations must be before Aug. 27.

Sahara Las Vegas

— Locals who want to plan a staycation at the Strip property will receive 50 percent off food and beverage minimums from poolside cabanas; 50 percent off day bed rentals; buy-one, get-one-free draft beers and specialty cocktails at Casbar Lounge; and a complimentary grande drip coffee at Starbucks. New and existing Club 52 members will also receive exclusive gaming specials through access to a virtual fun book. Customers must show a valid, government-issued Nevada photo identification when they check in at the hotel.

— The property is also extending its waiver on resort fees, and it is offering a limited promotion on reservations through Sept. 3 that includes no resort fee, 10 percent off rooms and suites and 24-hour flexible cancellation.

Station Casino properties

– The company’s “StaCation” packages offer locals the “best rates” when booked online at stationcasinosoffers.com/stacation/ with the code LOCAL20, plus no resort or hotel fees. The offer is available at Red Rock Casino, Green Valley Ranch and Sunset Station on all room types Sunday through Thursday nights through Aug. 31. It is also available at Palace Station, Boulder Station and Santa Fe Station any night of the week.

The Venetian

— Rosina and Electra Cocktail Club is offering 25 percent off to locals with a Las Vegas ID Sunday through Thursdays.

— Matteo’s Ristorante Italiano is offering 15 percent off food to Las Vegas residents. Wine and alcohol are not included in the promotion.

— Locals with a valid Nevada ID can get 25 percent off food at Chica.

— Yardbird Southern Table & Bar offers Las Vegas locals 25 percent off food. Customers must present a valid Nevada ID.

— Buddy V’s Ristorante offers locals 15 percent off and a complimentary cannoli with the purchase of an entree.

— Cañonita is giving Las Vegas locals 10 percent off food only.

— Canyon Ranch spa + fitness is offering locals 25 percent off spa and salon services June 4 through Aug. 31. Bookings are available by calling 702-414-3601 and mentioning promo code “locals20,” and a valid Nevada ID must be present during check in. This deal is not valid on day passes.

— Las Vegas residents can get 15 percent off food only at Sixth + mill. Guest must present a valid ID with a local address.

— Mercato della Pescheria is offering locals 15 percent off food for Nevada residents with a valid ID. Wine and alcohol are excluded.

— Those who mention The Venetian locals newsletter offer at Smith & Wollensky get a complimentary glass of S&W Private Reserve Sauvignon Blanc or Meritage with the purchase of a dinner entree. The deal is limited to one per guest and cannot be combined with another offer.

— Locals can get between 25 and 50 percent off at Reviv Mondays through Thursdays.

— Sugarboo and Co. is offering locals 15 percent off all in-store purchases.

— Locals can get 50 percent off wine by the bottle at Mott 32. The bottle must be valued at $500 or less, and holidays are not included.

— Moon Palace will offer 10 percent off to locals.

— Majordomo Meat & Fish offers 10 percent off to locals on food and non-alcoholic beverages.

Westgate

— Every Thursday, the Westgate will offer local rewards members 50 percent off dining and five times the points on all slots and video poker. Those with 10 tier credits are offered free entry into a $2,000 weekly slot tournament and a free gift, limited to one per member. Every Friday and Saturday through July 31, the property will also offer 11 times the points on all slots and video poker.
