Coronavirus concerns postpone Las Vegas security trade show
Trade show operator Reed Exhibitions announced Friday that it would push back this month’s security industry conference ISC West at the Sands Expo and Convention Center to July, citing the spread of COVID-19.
The trade show was scheduled for March 17-20.

Reed Exhibitions Group Vice President Will Wise said in a statement the decision was not made lightly.
“It is imperative that we maintain our commitment to prioritize the health and safety of everyone involved with ISC West … and we look forward to welcoming the global security and public safety community to Las Vegas in July,” Wise said.
The trade show draws roughly 29,000 attendees, according to figures from the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority. Organizers said the conference pulls in over 1,000 international and domestic brands in the physical, IT and IoT security space.
A new date for the show will be announced at a later time, according to Reed.
Las Vegas Sands Corp. spokeswoman Alyssa Anderson declined to comment. Las Veas Sands operates Sands Expo and Convention Center.
The postponement of ISC West comes on the heels of announced conference cancellations of Adobe, NXT Global, engineering company Aurba Networks, and the 10-member Association of Southeast Asian Nations.
Many other upcoming conferences in Las Vegas still are scheduled as planned.
