Nevada homeowners have chance to meet Bank of America representative

Nevada homeowners holding a Bank of America loan will have a chance on Saturday to sit with a bank representative and a HUD-approved counselor to discuss options to avoid foreclosure, according to the office of Sen. Harry Reid.

Reid’s office is hosting a foreclosure prevention workshop from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at Consumer Credit Counseling Services, 2650 S. Jones Blvd.

People interested in attending must RSVP by sending an email to foreclosureprevention_reid@reid.senate.gov or by calling Reid’s Las Vegas office at 702-388-5020.

Homeowners planning to seek assistance should bring along copies of pay stubs for the immediate past two months, copies of bank statements for the immediate past two months, a letter of explanation of the hardship they are currently facing, and signed copies of 2009 and 2010 tax returns.

In addition, homeowners who are self-employed must bring their most recent profit and loss statement and a copy of their last full tax return with all schedules.
