Skye Canyon adds third company to lineup of builders
Nevada’s newest master plan has added a third company to its lineup of home builders.
Skye Canyon in northwest Las Vegas said Tuesday that Century Communities will build 204 single-family homes with floor plans ranging from 1,700 to 3,600 square feet.
“Skye Canyon is the perfect opportunity for us to further expand into the Las Vegas market and showcase our distinctive and fresh home designs,” said Don Boettcher, president for Century Communities’ Nevada Division. “The development is in a beautiful location and will certainly be a very desirable community.”
Colorado-based Century is already building in Henderson, southwest Las Vegas and North Las Vegas.
The company also has communities in Colorado, Georgia and Texas.
“We are excited to announce Century Communities as the latest builder at Skye Canyon,” said Garry Goett, chairman and CEO of Skye Canyon developer Olympia Cos. “Our builders and contractors have been hard at work, and Skye Canyon’s infrastructure and future homes are really coming alive.”
Skye Canyon, which broke ground in June, also has agreements with Pulte Homes and Woodside Homes to build inside the 1,700-acre community along U.S. Highway 95 near Horse Road.
The master plan will have 9,000 homes upon buildout.
The first models are scheduled to open in the fall.
