Settlement announced in Bell Transportation pay lawsuit
A U.S. District Court judge has issued a notice of settlement on a $3.85 million class-action lawsuit brought by 13 Bell Transportation limousine drivers for unpaid wages and improperly withheld pay.
According to a summary of the settlement, the company failed to pay regular wages, minimum wages and overtime wages for all hours worked, failed to pay wages due at the termination of employment and improperly withheld wages.
The notice seeks all persons employed by four Bell subsidiaries, Bell Trans, Bell Limo, Presidential Limousine and Whittlesea-Bell at any time between Dec. 18, 2005, and Jan. 1, 2011.
Potential class members have until April 21 to file a claim form or request exclusion from the group.
