Las Vegas gang member on Most Wanted list

A Las Vegas gang member police believe is responsible for a 2007 Strip shooting that injured four people was named to the U.S. Marshals Service Most Wanted list on Tuesday.

Robert Jackson, 25, alleged to be a member of the Squad Up gang, is accused of firing five shots from a handgun at members of the Wood gang after an early morning brawl involving 20 people in front of Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville.

The shots missed the gang members and hit four bystanders, all of whom survived the Aug. 19, 2007, shooting.

Jackson was identified as the shooter shortly after the incident and is wanted on charges of unlawful flight to avoid prosecution, attempted murder with a deadly weapon, battery with a deadly weapon with substantial bodily harm, battery with a deadly weapon, assault with a deadly weapon and for being an ex-felon in possession of a firearm.

Jackon stands 5 feet 10 inches and weighs 150 pounds.

Jackson has a violent criminal history including arrests for robbery with a deadly weapon, aiming a firearm at a person and drug possession. Police consider him armed and dangerous.

A $25,000 reward is being offered for information leading directly to an arrest.
