Man arrested for placing hidden camera in NLV bathroom
North Las Vegas police arrested a man they said put a hidden camera in the bathroom of a clothing store, the department said Tuesday night.
Eduardo Chavez, 37, was booked into the Las Vegas City Jail on one count of capturing images of the private area of another person.
According to the release, an employee of the business, in the 1900 block of West Craig Road, found the camera in a public restroom Aug. 20 and called police. Police did not name the business where the camera was found.
Police released both a photo and video of the man. They described him as about 30 years old, standing about 5 feet 7 inches and weighing about 190 pounds. He was last seen wearing black glasses, a gray polo shirt, light-colored pants and black sandals. Police said Tuesday night that a tip led to Chavez’ arrest after the surveillance images were published.
Anyone with information about this case should call the North Las Vegas Police Department at 702-633-9111.
