A 28-year-old man was indicted on murder and attempted murder charges in connection with a January fatal shooting in the northwest valley.
Donnell Patrick Pugh was arrested in downtown Los Angeles a week after the Jan. 15 shooting. Authorities allege Pugh fatally shot Charles E. McCullough, 26, of Las Vegas about 1 p.m. Jan. 15 at the Evergreen Apartments, in the 5400 block of Cheyenne Avenue, near Michael Way.
Pugh faces charges of murder with use of a deadly weapon, attempted murder with use of a deadly weapon, battery and carrying a concealed firearm, the indictment handed down Friday shows.
McCullough and a woman, Jessica Green, were taking out the trash when they were shot. Green suffered a gunshot wound to the lower leg and survived.
Authorities have not released a motive in the slaying.
Pugh is being held without bail at the Clark County Detention Center.
