Police investigate attempted murder-suicide in central Las Vegas Valley

Police believe a domestic dispute led a man to shoot a woman and then shoot himself Monday afternoon in the 1000 block of West Oakey Boulevard, near the intersection with Western Avenue.

The man and the woman have been taken to hospitals, but are still alive in critical condition, a Metro supervisor said.

No one else was hurt in the shooting.

Oakey is closed to traffic in both directions near Western while detectives investigate.
