Henderson police arrest boyfriend in fatal shooting of woman, 19

Noah Hadley (Henderson Police Department)

Henderson police have arrested a 18-year-old man after his 19-year-old girlfriend was shot to death late Thursday, police said.

Noah Hadley, who was booked into the Henderson Detention Center early Friday morning, faces a charge of murder with a deadly weapon, jail records show.

Officers were called about 11:10 p.m. to the 600 block of Monument Point Street, in a gated neighborhood near East Horizon Ridge Parkway and East Paradise Hills Drive, after reports of a shooting, according to a Henderson Police Department release sent Friday.

When officers arrived, they found a woman suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. She was taken to Henderson Hospital, where she later died.

Further information about the shooting and the arrest of the woman’s boyfriend was not available.

The street where the shooting happened was quiet Friday evening as families returned home at the end of the workday. There was no crime scene tape to mark the deadly shooting near any of the homes on the 600 block of Monument Point Street.

Many neighbors said they didn’t hear anything Thursday night or assumed the loud noise was fireworks.

“I thought I heard like an explosion,” said a woman who lived on the street, who declined to give her name.

The woman said the area is “very peaceful here and very safe.”

The Clark County coroner’s office will release the woman’s name, as well as the cause and manner of death, after her family has been notified.

The shooting marked the seventh homicide Henderson police have investigated in 2019.

Anyone with information about the shooting can call Henderson police at 702-267-4911, or leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
