Legendary poker player Doyle Brunson tweets that he was likely target of robbery
A legendary poker champion took to Twitter on Friday, telling his 400,000-plus followers that he was the likely target of an armed robbery of a neighbor who lives down the street from him in the southwest valley.
Doyle Brunson, a two-time World Series of Poker main event champion and winner of 10 WSOP bracelets, said a police officer came to his home and informed him that a neighbor on his street was robbed at gunpoint.

According to Metropolitan Police Department dispatch logs, a robbery was reported at 8:56 a.m. Friday, down the street from Brunson’s home. Metro spokesman Jesse Roybal confirmed the robbery but did not provide additional details.
Although three other poker players live in the area, Brunson said he believes he was the intended target of the robbery.
