Sports book at Hooters Hotel robbed Monday
A man armed with a firearm robbed the sports book at the Hooters Hotel early Monday evening, making off with an undisclosed amount of money.
Police were called to the 115 E. Tropicana Ave. casino just after 6 p.m., Metropolitan Police Department Lt. Jeff Goodwin said.
Though the man was armed, no one was hurt during the robbery. He took off on foot afterward.
As of 9:30 p.m. police had not released a suspect description. Detectives were still on scene at the time, speaking with witnesses, Goodwin said.
