Man shot, robbed in Palace Station parking lot

A man was robbed and shot early Thursday in the parking lot of Palace Station.

About 2:40 a.m, the man was approached by three men in the parking lot of the 2411 W. Sahara Ave. hotel-casino, Metropolitan Police Department spokesman Larry Hadfield said.

“A struggle ensued and his cellphone and his wallet were taken,” Metro Lt. Charles Jenkins said.

The man was shot once and taken to University Medical Center, where he was still in critical condition as of Thursday afternoon.

The suspects were described as black men last seen headed east on Sahara in a white, four-door sedan with tinted windows, Hadfield said. No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting.

Police are working to get surveillance footage of the suspects.

When reached for comment, a Station Casinos representative deferred to Metro, which is leading the ongoing investigation.
