Shooting in Nye County leaves man with life-threatening injuries

Nye County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Ann Horak said in a statement on social media that deputies and detectives were on scene of a “domestic involving a shotgun” on Quail Run Road in Pahrump.

“One person was shot,” Horak said, adding the individual was flown by helicopter to University Medical Center in Las Vegas.

Capt. David Boruchowitz said earlier Thursday that preliminary information indicates the person who was shot was attacking “someone with an ax.”
