Coroner identifies woman stabbed to death in southeast Las Vegas

The woman found stabbed to death Friday in the living room of her southeast valley home has been identified.

Linda Wise, a 53-year-old Las Vegas resident, died after she was stabbed in the neck, the Clark County coroner’s office said. Her death has been ruled a homicide.

Police were called about 2:30 p.m. Friday to the 5500 block of Hobble Creek Drive, near Nellis Boulevard and Russell Road, Metro spokesman officer Michael Rodriguez said.

Although Wise’s body was found Friday, she had likely been killed days earlier, police said.

On Friday, Metro named Michael Garcia, 54, as a person of interest in the case. According to police, Garcia and Wise were dating.
