5 cheap music shows coming up in Las Vegas

Here are five cheap upcoming music shows to check out:

PARKS AND RECREATION

If you’re looking for the biggest bang for your buck this week, you’ve found it. Rusty Maples and Brumby, two exceptional local acts are headlining a bill at Vinyl at the Hard Rock Hotel on Friday with National Parks, a solid act from Provo, Utah. Tickets are $10-$20.

SINGLES SCENE

Singles: Sin City’s ’90s Music Experience is set to play Saturday at Brooklyn Bowl with its reconvened original lineup. Admission is free. So if you’ve just been aching to see an outfit playing a full set of tunes from the Clinton era, head on over to The Linq.

TWISTED SINNERS

Speaking of sin and Sin City, everybody’s favorite local rockers, Sin City Sinners — the self-proclaimed Rat Pack of Rock ‘n’ Roll — are returning to Count’s Vamp’d for a show with Twisted Sister guitarist Eddie Ojeda at Count’s Vamp’d on Friday. The show is at 10 p.m. and admission is free.

FROM ASHES TO YOU

On Saturday night, From Ashes to New is slated to warm up the stage for the joint-headlining bill of Five Finger Death Punch and Papa Roach at The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel. Before that, though, the band is stopping by Zia Records at 2 p.m. for an in-store appearance — oh, and they’re bringing pizza, apparently!

FOLK ART

Thursday night, LVCS will be devoted to a night of masterful folk metal, featuring two pagan metal bands from abroad — Heidevolk from the Netherlands and Arkona from Russia — Helsott from California and the homegrown act Firewater Folklore. Tickets are $12-$15; the show is at 8 p.m.
