DINING: Super Bowl eats
Here are a couple of the more unusual offerings:
LBS: A Burger Joint at Red Rock Resort, 11011 W. Charleston Blvd., is offering specialty burgers to represent the competing teams. The Cheesehead is a bratwurst patty stuffed with American cheese and topped with pepperjack cheese, a fried egg, lettuce, tomato and whole-grain mustard aioli, served on brioche or a whole-grain bun with fries. And The Pitts’Burger is a beef patty topped with shaved pastrami, Gruyere, coleslaw, sliced tomato and mustard, served on French bread with fries. The celebration there starts at 11:30 a.m.
First Food & Bar at the Shoppes at the Palazzo, 3327 Las Vegas Blvd. South, is offering the Primanti Bros. Impression — an homage to the iconic Primanti Bros. restaurant in Pittsburgh — with ham, provolone, fries, coleslaw, tomato and mayo. First’s The Big Packer is a double-decker grilled cheddar and bacon sandwich. Specials are available there from noon to 7 p.m.
