Today, readers have good news of a fishy nature ...

"In response to one of your readers, Alex Greenberg, who is looking for Acme smoked whitefish salad and smoked salmon salad, I found it at Albertsons" at 2550 S. Fort Apache Road, e-mailed Lois Small. "And may I add 'Eureka!' since I was looking for it myself and accidentally found it there."

"Alex Greenberg can find Acme smoked whitefish salad and Acme smoked salmon salad at the new Albertsons at 2910 Bicentennial Parkway" in Henderson, faxed Marcy Davis.

Linda Fried said the salads can be found at Harrie's Bagelmania, 855 E. Twain Ave.

And Shelley Carroll had another suggestion: "Please tell Alex Greenberg that the best whitefish salad can be found at" Sterling Bagels, 2223 N. Rampart Blvd. ...

"Tell Barbara Edler she will be able to get soft-shell crabs at King's Fish House," 2255 Village Walk Drive in The District in Henderson, wrote Ethel Dubuc. "The season starts in May. I ate them a lot through May and June of last year. The waitress tells me they come in daily."
