Sardines plentiful in valley

It appears we have plenty of sardine lovers in Las Vegas, because several people responded to Pat Moore, who’s looking for canned sardines in tomato sauce.

Tamsen Andrews suggested Wal-Mart Supercenter at 540 Marks St. in Henderson, Richard Hopper suggested Albertsons at 2851 N. Green Valley Parkway in Henderson, Pam Crawford suggested 99 Cents Only at 520 Marks St. in Henderson, and Dean B. Pomerantz said all of the local Hispanic markets carry them, including Mariana’s Supermarket, La Bonita Grocery Store, King Ranch Market and Mercado del Pueblo — all of which have multiple locations in the valley — and Liborio Markets, 930 N. Lamb Blvd.. …

For Megan Williams, who’s looking for Swedish rye bread without caraway, Suzanne Altfield suggested the seedless rye at the Orowheat outlets, which are at 2548 Wigwam Parkway and 5191 W. Charleston Blvd., and Jeanette Jarrett recommended the Bavarian rye at Trader Joe’s, which has multiple locations in the valley. …

For Mario Giordano, who’s looking for Stella D’Oro Mixed Assorted Cookies, Vicky Revela e-mailed to say they can be found at Siena Deli, 2250 E. Tropicana Ave., and Ron Lutz of The Butcher Block, 7625 S. Rainbow Blvd., said he carries them as well. …
