Sons of Norway serving up lutefisk, meatballs
Norway Desert Troll Lodge of the Sons of Norway will again be serving up the lutefisk – the food of a million jokes – at their annual Lutefisk and Meatballs Dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Nov. 3 at the Elks Lodge at 1217 Nevada Highway in Boulder City. In addition to meatballs and lutefisk they’ll have pork roast, potatoes, vegetables, lefse and homemade Norwegian cookies, plus raffle prizes, door prizes and gifts for children. Tickets are $20 for adults, $5 for kids 5 through 12. The event tends to sell out early; tickets are available by calling Bob at 338-4918 or Vikki at 617-8898. …
A Weekend of Truffles is scheduled for Nov. 9 and 10 at Delmonico Steakhouse at The Venetian, 3355 Las Vegas Blvd. South. The menu includes appetizers such as angel hair pasta with fresh Italian white truffles ($40), rabbit fricassee over pappardelle with roasted root vegetables and fresh black truffles ($55), white truffle panna cotta ($15) and more.
