For Kathy Boland, who’s looking for ciabatta rolls (not loaves) and pretzel rolls, her fellow readers have lots of suggestions for the latter, though not the former.

Since Lent has begun, it’s time for the annual fish fry at Christ the King Catholic Community, 4925 S. Torrey Pines Drive. The dinners, which will be served from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday (and every Friday during Lent) include fried pollack or baked cod, macaroni and cheese or french fries, cole slaw, rolls, lemonade, iced tea or coffee and dessert. And tickets are now on sale for the 40th anniversary celebration of UNLVino, scheduled for April 9-12. Events will start with Sip &Savor at Spago, followed by a barbecue at the Caesars Palace Garden of the Gods Pool, Bubble-Licious at The Venetian and the Grand Tasting at the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health. Proceeds help fund scholarships at the William F. Harrah College of Hotel Administration at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Tickets, which range from $100 to $275, are available at UNLVTickets.com.
