A conversation with Las Vegas singer Savannah Lynx

Review-Journal man-about-town columnist John Katsilometes interviews singer Savannah Lynx at Rose. Rabbit. Lie. supper club at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.
Lynx and Miles head up the Rose. Rabbit. Lie. dinner entertainment presentation on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. The supper club, which opened in December 2013, remains one of the few live-entertainment options on the Strip.
Lynx moved to Las Vegas last November to take a swing role in “Fantasy” at Luxor. She then auditioned for the open singing slot in R.R.L. and picked up that gig, too.
The singer grew up in rural Far Hills, N.J. and lived in New York City, studying for a time at Fordham University. She spent time in L.A., too, becoming a fitness buff and winning several competitions. But in her two stage shows, Lynx has joined the Las Vegas entertainment scene.
“Vegas has been a home. I’ve felt a sense of community, of purpose, and I just love it,” she says. “I’ve had the duality of living near the mountains, and then in a 10-minute drive I’m on the Strip. It’s perfect for me.”
