Contemporary jazz band Spyro Gyra headlines promoter Michael Schivo’s “Jazz Under the Stars” show Sunday at Spring Mountain Ranch State Park, 18 miles west of Las Vegas off West Charleston Boulevard.

The band has earned nine Grammy nominations and sold 11 million records.

Vocalist David Pack, founder and former lead singer of Ambrosia, opens the show at 7 p.m.

Gates open at 6 p.m. Low-back chairs and picnic baskets are permitted.

World Vibration music series at Winchester

Musicians who have performed concerts in Clark County Parks and Recreation’s World Vibration Concert Series during the past two years will return to the stage to celebrate the second anniversary of the series at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Winchester Cultural Center, 3130 S. McLeod Drive.

The series features a different cultural tradition of music every month and inspired a spinoff in the center’s World Steps dance series, which features diverse dance styles from around the world.

Musicians set to return for the concert are Sandip Thanki playing Indian music on the sitar; Angel Gadzhev playing the Bulgarian gadulka and guitar; Hong Qiu An with Chinese music; Mariano Gonzalez playing the Paraguayan harp; Dream Traveler members Daniel Hamilton, Rick Dusek and Jimbo playing Native American music; and Andrea and Juan Vargas-Charango performing the music of Chile.

Tickets are $10 general admission and $7 for students and seniors.
