R-J columnist receives honor

Review-Journal wine columnist Gil Lempert-Schwarz recently received the French Ordre du Mérite Agricole for his contributions to the field of wine.

The Ordre du Mérite Agricole is the highest individual honor in the world of wine that is bestowed by the French government. The Grand Master of this Order is the sitting French president, and he exercises final power in the declarations of the Order.

Henderson resident Lempert-Schwarz has written Wine of the Week for the Review-Journal since 1999. His column appears every Wednesday in the Taste section.
