Bazaar Meat, where flesh meets fire in carnivorous plenty, is moving from its decadelong home in Sahara Las Vegas to The Palazzo Tower of The Venetian, according to a Wednesday statement from The Venetian. The restaurant will be in the lower level of the Palazzo lobby, a representative for The Venetian later confirmed.

Bazaar Meat is one of five Vegas restaurants from celebrated chef José Andrés. Bazaar Mar, his most recent, opened in August in the Shops at Crystals on the Strip.

Bazaar Meat debuted at the Sahara in 2014. The statement said The Venetian would welcome Bazaar Meat in 2025.

Wednesday’s news comes about five months after the Sahara and José Andrés Group denied, in a joint statement, that Bazaar Meat would be closing.

“There are no plans to close Bazaar Meat by José Andrés. Sahara Las Vegas and José Andrés Group enjoy an outstanding and collaborative partnership, which routinely sees Bazaar Meat included on countless lists of the world’s best restaurants,” that May statement said.

About two hours after the release of The Venetian statement, the Sahara released a statement in which Paul Hobson, general manager of the property, said he was “thrilled to share that we will be announcing a top-tier destination restaurant to take the place of Bazaar Meat when it closes next year.”

The statement went on to say that “(a)n agreement is currently being finalized, and the new partner will be announced in coming weeks.”

The Las Vegas Review-Journal has requested comment from representatives for José Andrés Group and the Sahara.
