First Look: ‘Insidious: Chapter 2’

The story: The Lambert family continues to search for the reason they’re so connected to the spirit world in this sequel.

The buzz: The first installment earned $97 million worldwide on a budget of $1.5 million. Wan, who also directed the original, scored another surprise hit this summer with “The Conjuring.” And it’s opening on Friday the 13th. All signs point to a lucky weekend at the box office.
