Latest DVDs, CDs, books: July 10

A look at some of the DVDs, CDs and books hitting stores this week:

DVDs

American Reunion (R): Jim, Michelle, Stifler and the gang – and, of course, Stifler’s mom – are back for their totally believable 13th high school reunion in this fourth big-screen installment in the “American Pie” series.

Elsewhere, the small-town mixed martial arts dreams of Dustin “The Diamond” Poirier and Albert Stainback are chronicled in the documentary “Fightville” (not rated). And a young writer (Paul Dano) working in a homeless shelter comes face to face with the father (Robert De Niro) he hasn’t seen in 18 years in the drama “Being Flynn” (R).

Topping today’s TV transfers: “The Glades: Season Two,” “Warehouse 13: Season Three,” “iCarly: The Complete Fourth Season,” “Duck Dynasty: Season One” and, from the vaults, “Alice: The Complete First Season,” “Father Dowling Mysteries: The Second Season” and “Dark Shadows: The Complete Original Series (Deluxe Edition)” featuring 1,225 episodes on 131 DVDs.

CDs

Zac Brown Band, “Uncaged”: With their feel-good Jimmy Buffett meets Lynyrd Skynyrd meets Dave Matthews Band vibe, the Zac Brown Band has become a live favorite in recent years.

And now they’re “Uncaged!”

What does that mean?

That their records still aren’t as memorable as their shows.

Also in stores: Marina and the Diamonds, “Electra Heart”; Mission of Burma, “Unsound”; P.O.D., “Murdered Love”; Reverend Horton Heat, “25 to Life”; Staind, “Live from Mohegan Sun”; Serj Tankian, “Harakiri”; Rhonda Vincent, “Sunday Mornin’ Singin’ Live”; and Hank Williams Jr., “Old School, New Rules.”

BOOKS

“I, Michael Bennett” by James Patterson and Michael Ledwidge: After an imprisoned Mexican crime lord vows revenge, detective Michael Bennett takes his 10 kids out of New York City only to encounter more violence in his upstate hometown.
